Mesonephric duct remnants at the level of the adnexa are frequently diagnosed erroneously as adnexal cystic tumors. Their diagnoses are usually difficult preoperatively because of the absence of specific clinical and morphologic features that would differentiate them from other adnexal cystic tumors.
We report a case of mesonephric remnant ductal cyst which was diagnosed erroneously as hydrosalpinx by transvaginal ultrasonography with a brief review of the literature.

중신관 잔류물은 위치와 성상에 따라 난관종양이나 난소종양으로 의심될 수도 있으며, 대부분은 양성 종양이므로 수술적 절제 이외의 추가 치료가 필요 없다. 질초음파상 자궁부속기 낭종 의심되는 환자에서 시험적 개복술을 시행하여, 검체의 조직 검사상 중신관 잔류물(mesonephric duct remnant)로 확인되어 낭종절제술만 시행하였던 1예를 경험하였기에 문헌 고찰과 함께 보고하는 바이다.
