Changes of Middle Cerebral Artery Doppler Values with Repeated Fetal Transfusions in a Pregnancy with Rhesus Alloimmunization

Osteogenesis imperfecta is a heterogeneous group of disorders that are characterized by connective tissue defects resulting in bone fragility, blue sclera, impaired hearing, defective dentition, and hyperflexibility of the joints. The overall incidence of osteogenesis imperfecta is estimated at 1/25,000. The clinical, genetic, and biochemical heterogeneity in osteogenesis imperfecta allows to be least four subtypes to be distinguished. Prenatal diagnosis of osteogenesis imperfecta type II by ultrasonography has been reported several times.
We recently experienced a case of osteogenesis imperfecta type II diagnosed in third trimester of pregnancy by ultrasonography and expired at one month of delivery.
We report here with a brief review of the literatures about osteogenesis imperfecta type II and emphasize characteristic USG findings of lethal skeletal dysplasias in early second trimester of pregnancy. |
골형성부전증은 매우 희귀한 유전질환군으로 골취약성을 주병변으로 하며, 청색공막, 난청, 치아 발육부전 등의 다양한 증상의 교원질 질환군이다. 근래에는 임상증상과 X선 소견, 질환의 유전방식, 그리고 교원질의 생화학적인 변화를 바탕으로 하여 크게 4가지 형태로 분류된다. 각 유형에 따른 골형성부전증의 증상은 매우 다양하며 가장 치명적인 것은 제 2형이다.
저자 등은 임신 제 3삼분기에 산전 초음파로 진단된 선천성 골형성부전증 제2형 1예를 간단한 문헌고찰과 함께 보고하는 바이다. |
